Give ALL girls the freedom to row so they can get where they want to go!

Join us for a delicious breakfast on the morning of Friday, June 8, 2018. Hear what we're up to and why! Help support the start of a brand new opportunity for young women in our community! Every ticket purchased brings us closer to our goal of establishing Girls Row Stockton and ensuring that any girl who has the commitment and perseverance will be able to participate, even if she lacks the means!

You will not want to miss this year's keynote speakers:

Lange Luntao, Board Trustee, Stockton Unified School District

Ashley Lee, Outdoor Programs and Outreach Market Coordinator at Recreational Equipment, Inc.

David Banks, two-time Olympic rower and a five-time US national rowing team athlete

Make A Difference!

We are "at the ready" with . . .

  • an inspiring new coach (Jane Turner, MS from Smith College in Exercise and Sports Science)
  • a small fleet of boats , oars and all the other equipment necessary
  • endless miles of waterways to sharpen our girls' skills and G-ROW their strength!

To catch the current, we need . . .

  • hard-working middle and high school-aged girls who will commit to teamwork and want to learn a powerful, graceful, low-impact, full-body sport
  • financial support for girls without resources - help meeting the costs of tuition, daily local transportation, basic swim lessons, and regatta travel fees
  • community volunteers
Sculling (rowing on a sliding seat with two oars) opens doors to all kinds of experiences that strengthen the sculler and, especially for girls, puts college more in their reach. But it requires a high investment. We have a lot of the ingredients to get this started but we need YOUR HELP to get it running full blast and make it sustainable. Most importantly our commitment is that girls who wouldn't normally have access are not excluded due to barriers such as lack of means, transportation, or confidence in the water, etc. We are fundraising to eliminate these barriers so no girl is left behind at the start gate.

Unable to attend?

If you are unable to attend the breakfast, we hope you will consider making a donation to our Girls Row Stockton initiative. Here are a few examples of how your donation could make a big impact:

  • A $1000 gift would cover the cost for one girl to participate for one semester (tuition, travel, regatta, uniform and meal fees)
  • A $500 gift would provide a set of oars.
  • A $60 gift would provide a team uniform for one athlete.
  • A $50 gift could provide transportation to and from the boathouse for one athlete.
  • A $20 gift would provide a team t-shirt.
THANK YOU for all the support!
We are grateful for the support of our in-kind sponsors . . .
